Jianan Golf Course is located in Guantian District, Tainan City, adjacent to the famous Wushantou Reservoir Scenic Area. It is an 18-hole standard championship course built by an international professional team. The course covers an area of approximately 75 hectares and officially opened for business on March 5, 1995. The overall design follows the unique undulating hills and terrain, harmoniously blending the rolling fairways with diverse natural landscapes, creating a unique and spectacular view. The course's greatest scenic and strategic features are the large areas of water and winding streams that run throughout the entire course, which not only bring visual coolness to Southern Taiwan but also greatly increase the difficulty and enjoyment of golfing.
The course's grassing project was carried out by Dr. Ray Jensen, who has been responsible for the grassing and maintenance of renowned golf courses worldwide. He selected Bermuda Tifway 419 for the fairways and TifDwarf for the greens, ensuring that the course remains green all year round.
For the landscaping, American Tim Cox Specialty Grading Service was engaged for the fine shaping. The large water areas and winding streams running through the entire course, along with the undulating fairways, create the course's unique scenery and excellent panoramic views, offering a distinct charm whether viewed from afar or up close.
Among the most representative and distinctive holes on the course, the 14th hole stands out with its three-tiered green, higher on the right and lower on the left, which severely tests golfers' precision and putting skills. On the 15th hole, a long par-5, the middle of the fairway features a unique five-claw shaped bunker, approximately 100 yards long. This exquisite and cleverly designed feature often amazes golfers. With its high-quality course maintenance and enjoyable layout, Jianan Golf Course has become a classic golfing destination that southern golfers should not miss.
