Nanyi Golf Course is located in the flatlands of Guanshan District, Tainan City, just over ten minutes' drive from downtown Tainan and Tainan HSR Station, making it easily accessible. This golf club, completed in 1995, is a top-tier course with eighteen international standard holes. For years, it has maintained its position as one of Southern Taiwan's best golf courses, thanks to its high-standard course maintenance and unique landscape design, and has hosted major important events such as the Taiwan PGA Professional Tour many times.
Unlike the common hilly or mountainous courses in Taiwan, the most distinctive feature of Nanyi Golf Course is that it is one of the few "flatland courses" in the country. Although the overall terrain is flat, the fairway design is full of strategic ingenuity and challenges. Within the vast 91-hectare course, 58 bunkers and 11 water hazards of various sizes are cleverly integrated. These water hazards not only add to the beautiful scenery of the course but also pose a severe test for approaching the green on every hole. The course features a dual-green design (left and right greens), which is relatively rare in Taiwan, and extensively plants Sea Spray Paspalum and Bermuda grass to ensure excellent putting quality that remains lush and green all year round.
In addition to the challenging fairways, Nanyi Golf Club has also put much thought into the design of its clubhouse. Upon entering the course, visitors are greeted by a tropical South Pacific-style clubhouse building, complemented by surrounding palm trees and open blue skies and green landscapes, making one feel as if they are in a top resort in Southeast Asia.
