Golf tee TEE, usually referred to as TEE, is a small accessory used in golf to support the starting position of a golf ball on the fairway. Generally made of plastic or wood, the TEE is a slender column with a tip at the bottom, which can be inserted into the grass or land of the fairway, so that the golf ball is slightly lifted from the ground, making it easier for the golfer to hit the first shot on the fairway.
