Wufeng Golf Course is nestled in the mountains between Wufeng District, Taichung City, and Nantou County, backed by the famous "Jiujiu Peak" in central Taiwan. It is a picturesque 18-hole international golf course rich in ecological diversity. The course's greatest pride and distinctive feature lie in its utmost respect for and conservation of the natural environment. In 2009, Wufeng Golf Course received eco-certification from Audubon International, becoming Taiwan's first and leading environmentally friendly course with no pesticides and low fertilizer use. Here, golfers can not only enjoy fresh air and pure water but also frequently encounter abundant wildlife, making it a true green leisure sanctuary that coexists harmoniously with nature.
The course boasts a unique geographical location with a climate that is warm in winter and cool in summer. In winter, it is protected from the strong northeastern monsoon winds, and in summer, the mountain breezes prevent extreme heat, making it an ideal place for golf year-round. After the 921 earthquake, the course management team undertook extensive reconstruction, following the original mountainous terrain. The redesigned fairways not only retained the beauty of the original landscape but also significantly enhanced the challenge.
The 18-hole course spans a total length of 7,083 yards, with fairways winding along the undulating hills. The alternating arrangement of long and short holes provides a smooth rhythm, but the narrow fairways, numerous out-of-bounds areas, and highly varied undulating greens present a significant test to golfers' shot accuracy and strategic thinking.
