Hillsand Golf Club, located in Guanxi Township, Hsinchu County, is a golf course deeply loved by golfers and boasting unique natural ecological features. The course began construction in 1988, underwent years of development, and officially opened at the end of 1993, becoming the first golf course in Hsinchu to obtain a legal operating license. Covering an area of approximately 76 hectares, the Hillsand course not only has an excellent geographical location, but its mountainous and waterside terrain effectively blocks the northeast monsoon during autumn and winter, providing an excellent golfing environment with less wind, less fog, and stable weather, which is highly praised by golfers.
The biggest characteristic of the Hillsand course is its commitment to nature conservation. During the development process, the course diligently maintained its original natural ecosystem and successively introduced over 250,000 trees of different varieties. These trees cleverly serve as natural barriers and separations between each fairway, displaying different appearances with the changing seasons. As golfers swing on the wide fairways, they can fully breathe in the fresh air filled with phytoncides, allowing their mind and body to completely relax. Although the 18-hole standard course design has relatively gentle undulations, the surrounding forests, ponds, and bunkers still challenge the accuracy and strategic planning of each shot.
In addition to its beautiful natural scenery, Hillsand Golf Club is also committed to providing a comfortable leisure experience. Unlike typical modern clubhouses, the clubhouse here is largely constructed with natural wood, exuding a strong Balinese-inspired Southeast Asian resort ambiance. The elegant interior decoration and comprehensive service facilities allow people to shed their fatigue after golfing and experience a leisurely atmosphere akin to an overseas vacation. Whether you are a golfer who loves nature, or a family or social golfing group looking to enjoy a relaxing round, Hillsand Golf Course is a beautiful green space that makes one forget oneself and linger.
